Our Programs & Honors

The Kern County Association of Educational Office Professionals (KAEOP) awards an annual scholarship to a high school student planning to major in Business or a related field. The scholarship winner will be recognized and presented with a certificate at our annual awards luncheon in the spring. The scholarship funds will be awarded upon proof of college enrollment.

To apply, students must submit a packet that includes:

1. An official high school transcript
2. Two letters of reference
3. A short biography (minimum 100 words) highlighting extracurricular activities and future plans.

Each school year, KAEOP recognizes an Administrator of the Year and an Educational Office Professional of the Year. The recipients of the awards are announced at our annual awards luncheon in the spring. Those selected by KAEOP are also eligible to be nominated for the same awards from NAEOP. 

All Kern County students in grades K-5 are invited to participate in KAEOP's annual poster contest. The contest theme is "What I Like Best About My School." In addition to school recognition, poster winners receive a cash prize.
